Ruabon Village Hall

Morning: 8am-12pm
Afternoon: 1pm-5pm
Evening: 6pm-10pm
The Village Hall was built in 2004 and is owned and maintained by Ruabon Community Council.
The Village Hall is situated in Maes-y-Llan Lane (off the High Street) and is adjacent to free parking in the car park in the centre of the village.
The accommodation is very versatile with one large and one smaller room which can be opened up into one large area by means of folding doors.
WiFi access is available
The large room has an overhead projector and drop down screen which makes it ideal for both corporate bookings and meetings of community groups. There is also a 'loop' for access for those with a hearing aid.
For private meetings, the small room is ideal and has a pleasant aspect over the bowling green. Both rooms have plenty of chairs and lightweight tables which can be arranged to suit the occasion.
There is also a kitchen for catering, with a hatch for serving into the smaller of the two meeting rooms
Ruabon Village Hall can be hired by members of the community for children's parties and activities; family gatherings; local groups; business meetings and fund raising events.
In the first few months of 2014, attention was paid to upgrading the energy efficiency of the building. 80% funding was granted by Northern Marches Cymru to install new lighting; more loft insulation and new blinds.
On the retirement of the Sports Association Trustees of the Pavilion, RCC members were delighted to accept 100% funding for the supply and installation of solar panels which completed the upgrading wish list for 2014 at minimal cost to the community.
The Village Hall Management Group continues to monitor ongoing maintenance issues to ensure that this facility continues to give good value to hirers.
The Village Hall has had a makeover during the Christmas holiday (2014) with much needed new doors between the large and small meeting rooms. The doors have been fitted with opaque safety glass, ensuring privacy for those using either room. The large meeting room has now also been completely re-decorated since its eco- friendly upgrading last year.
Ruabon Community Council, through the Village Hall Management Group, will continue to see that this valuable community facility is kept in good order throughout, while still maintaining minimum price hire through its non-profit making policy.
The sizes of the rooms at the Village Hall are:
Large Room: 7.3 metres x 7.0 metres;
Small Room: 5.0 metres x 3.5 metres.
